About

Welcome!  My name is Darvis Simms, and for years I have been a huge proponent of health and fitness for people of all ages and walks of life.  I left the corporate world back in 1996 to pursue my passion of helping people to get healthy and fit.  Over the years as I have aged, my training and my client base has evolved to working mostly with people over the age of 50. 

As I got older, I challenged myself to stay as fit as possible.  Through the combination of a positive mental attitude, a healthy balanced diet, and a fitness program built on proper strength training and cardiovascular exercise, I found the “Fountain of Youth.”

So many of us, including myself, have had to send a loved one to a nursing home or retirement facility as they age.  As we lose our strength and coordination, we lose our independence and the ability to take care of ourselves.  Things like getting in and out of the tub, going up a flight of steps, or just going to the grocery store begin to look like insurmountable obstacles.  So I developed a fitness program specifically for those over the age of 50 to slow the breakdown of muscle mass and even increase strength and endurance.  Through these regular exercises and a balanced diet, I hope to one day see the end of nursing homes and live in a country where even our grandparents and great grandparents maintain their dignity and independence through the years.

When I’m not helping my clients, I can be found in the gym training for powerlifting competitions.  My personal goal is to win a world title and break a world record and I’m not that far away.  I am also a published fitness author, and you can view/purchase my ebooks here.
